Can you locate inside a building?
Locating inside buildings has its unique challenges.
While the concrete structure of the building does not, in an of itself, pose a complication to the utility locate, embedded rebar or mesh, adjacent steel siding, electrical panels, or equipment, and truncated distances with which to locate inductively all restrict the ability of the private Locator to work effectively.
Therefore, while locating indoors is necessary, and appropriate, it is nonetheless difficult and challenging, and may not always be possible, given specific circumstances.
